Chris J. Spriegel

Chris is the Director for Global Network and Digital Workplace Solutions for General Electric’s Gas Power division. Chris leads a Global team that provides Digital Technology solutions to the division’s global workforce, manufacturing, warehousing, and commercial operations. He has over 26 years of Leadership and Information Technology experience including roles as GE Transportation’s Chief Technology Officer, IT Transformation Leader, roles in Quality, Program and Project Management, and in Engineering IT.

Chris grew up in Buffalo, New York and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Canisius College. Upon graduating, Chris received his commission as an Officer in the United States Army and served on Active duty as a Signal Corp Officer. He joined General Electric in May 2001.

After September 11, 2001, Chris rejoined the U.S. Army in the New York State National Guard and served as a Company Commander for Alpha Company, 101st Signal Battalion and led homeland security missions in New York City.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Kansas State University and is a graduate of General Electric’s Experienced Information Management Leadership Program, and is both Lean and Six Sigma certified.

He is active in the community and volunteers weekly at the Erie City Mission.

Chris and his family reside in Fairview, PA.
