Grant Administrator
We are seeking a Grant Administrator to become part of a fast-paced, driven-to-excel grant administration team. Expectations are high, but the rewards are even higher. Deadlines dictate daily and monthly priorities, and the workplace atmosphere swings from highly intense productivity to lighter catch-up days.
New grant applications and ongoing grant management are achieved through consistent communication and unwavering teamwork, which is why these two qualities will be a must for the ideal candidate. Basic knowledge of grant compliance at the state level will also be required, but because the new team member will be offered ample training and support throughout the grant writing and management learning process, extensive grant administrative experience will not be necessary. This is considered an entry-level position for anyone wishing to begin a new career and/or grow within the economic development realm.
Additional details:
- Both part- and full-time applications will be considered
- The training period (6-12 months, depending on experience) will be office-based
- Occasional remote work, as appropriate, can be earned at the completion of the training period
Minimum requirements:
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness (eagerness) to learn
- Ability to work respectfully with clients and maintain confidentiality when required
- Basic knowledge of grant compliance at the state level
- Basic familiarity with economic development and ECRDA’s mission
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience is preferred.
Preference may be given to the following candidates:
- Direct experience with Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants
- Proven history of successful grant compliance administration
- Interest in or commitment to growing the Erie County region through economic development
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Daily and weekly team meetings to prioritize projects and organize assignments
- Regular updates to grant compliance spreadsheets for clients’ projects
- Organize and tabulate project data and progress in Excel
- Research new grant opportunities
- Respond to client questions and provide progress updates
- Organize all incoming and outgoing documents and communications
- Regularly update direct supervisor on all grant and project progress
- Other duties as assigned

Accounting Specialist
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting all day-to-day activities related to fiscal administration and accounting of multiple entities managed by the Erie County Redevelopment Authority.
The Accounting Specialist will work in tandem with the VP Of Finance & Lending to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, bank deposits, and payroll information. The Accounting Specialist also provides customer service to internal and external stakeholders and assists with various financial audits and reports.
Key duties:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including data entry, filing, and issuing payments
- Maintain records related to vendor payments, customer invoices, W-9s, and insurances for all vendors
- Support VP of Finance & Lending in preparing monthly financial reports
- Process payroll
- Prepare monthly NACHA files for submission to the bank
- Support Loan Portfolio Manager in ensuring the accuracy of loan payment applications
- Support Grants Administrator in ensuring the accuracy of grant reporting as required
- Complete year-end 1099 reporting/distribution
- Perform general office duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, advanced Excel
- Proven experience as an accounting specialist or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with grant administration
- CPA or CMA certification
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with tax laws and regulations
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard office hours
- Occasional travel within the community for site visits and meetings
