The development, a result of a public-private partnership called Grow Erie, will bring a commercial aquaponics facility and a community greenhouse to the 25-acre park.

The Enterprise Development Center of Erie County (EDCEC), an affiliate of the Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA), closed on purchasing the former Green Shingle Truck Stop for $3.2 million.

The grants will allow ECRDA to finish the work we started on two major blighted industrial properties and to begin the critical work necessary at Erie Coke.
